Join the Movement to Bring Women Home from the Valley

Learn how to support commutation efforts and build lasting relationships with incarcerated women.

Across Michigan, people are coming together to fight for freedom — and you can be part of it. The American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) MI Criminal Justice Program invites you to a powerful monthly Commutation Workshop where you’ll learn how to support women at the Huron Valley prison in their journey toward commutation and reentry.

Next Workshop:

Thursday, June 17th, 2025

6:30–8:00 PM

Location: Zoom

[REGISTER HERE]

This is more than just a workshop — it’s a space to build real relationships and work alongside women fighting for their freedom. You’ll receive guidance on writing effective commutation letters, navigating the application process, and providing holistic support that centers care and dignity.

Can’t make this session? No problem — workshops are available every third Thursday through November. Pick the date that works for you and take action.
