Serving in the military or living overseas? The absentee ballot deadline is different for voters who are serving in the military or living overseas – their ballots must be postmarked by Election Day (August 5) and received by August 11 in order to count.

Don’t Be Misled — Decline to Sign

Anti-voter ballot initiatives are circulating across Michigan. While some petitions expand rights, others seek to restrict them — including proposals that would increase ID requirements, purge voters from the rolls, or criminalize voter support efforts. Decline to sign unless you’re 100% sure what a petition does.

The Right to Sue for Voting Rights Is at Risk

A recent Supreme Court decision has endangered Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act — the section that lets communities challenge racist or discriminatory voting laws. If that protection falls, it weakens our ability to fight back. Read more about why this matters for Michigan.
