This month, VAAC joined our partners at Detroit Action for their inspiring Neighborhood Summit, where powerful conversations, bold visioning, and deep organizing took center stage. From housing timelines to political education, the summit made one thing clear: when we organize together, we win.
At our VAAC table, we connected with neighbors about the power of the vote and the importance of fighting back against housing instability, criminalization, and systemic neglect. Attendees shared stories of frequent moves, unaffordable rent, poor living conditions, and the lasting impact these experiences had on their families, health, education, and livelihoods.
