Follow the Yellow Brick Road: VAAC at Detroit’s Arts Alley Grand Opening

Join us July 6 for youth-powered art, community joy, and civic engagement

This weekend, VAAC is thrilled to be part of Detroit’s Arts Alleys Openings, an initiative to transform neighborhood spaces into hubs of creativity, connection, and care.

Join us on Saturday, July 6 at 3 PM at the Yellow Brick Road Arts Alley (14208 E. Jefferson Ave., Jefferson Chalmers) for an afternoon of community celebration. This vibrant, youth-centered space features:

  • A bike repair station
  • A free library
  • Murals and installations by local youth and Detroit artists

VAAC will be on-site with voter education, materials, and opportunities to connect. Whether you’re new to civic engagement or a long-time organizer, stop by our table to learn how to get involved.

We believe building power starts at the neighborhood level — and so does voter access.
