Freedom Work in Action: Join October’s Commutation Workshop

Stand with women at WHV and learn how to support the path to freedom

Every third Thursday, the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) hosts a virtual Commutation Workshop—a powerful space for people across Michigan to come together in support of women incarcerated at Women’s Huron Valley (WHV). The next session takes place Thursday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom.

Participants learn how to build relationships with women seeking commutation, assist with application writing, and offer emotional and practical support as they plan for their freedom. This community-led effort is about solidarity, healing, and action—values VAAC proudly stands behind.

When: Thurs, Oct. 16, 2025 — 6:30 p.m.
Where: Virtual (Zoom)

This event is hosted by AFSC. Please direct all questions to the organizers.
